The SmacoGlas fixing system - more than just cotton

Our fixing system was specially developed to optimize your SmacoGlas cold cuts box. The cotton cross is placed so that it covers the long side of the box and holds the entire stack securely. The short side is stretched across the boxes so that you can hold everything with one handle and conveniently store it in our SmacoGlas bag.

Our SmacoGlas fixation system is made of cotton, an amazing natural fiber. Cotton has a fascinating history that dates back up to 7,000 years. Originally domesticated in India, it has become one of the most important and healthiest fibers in the world.

Of course, Germany is not particularly rich in cotton plantations - but our cotton ribbons are manufactured in Germany, where they are produced specifically for us! And we are very proud of that! Our cotton goes through a process where the cotton fibers are cleaned and specially woven so that the fixing system is strong enough for our SmacoGlas cold cuts box. The cotton is then dyed in our own company.

Cotton has some impressive properties. It is extremely durable and at the same time pleasantly soft to the touch. This makes them ideal for use in our fixation system. Cotton is also breathable, which means it absorbs and releases moisture well. This is especially important when it comes to keeping your food fresh.

But what we are particularly proud of is that our fastening system is sewn in inclusion projects in our home country, the Flensburg region - and in outstanding quality. Here, specialists ensure that our finished cotton webbing is equipped with large Velcro fasteners made of recycled PU on all four corners of the cross and two practical grip tabs. This means we can not only offer a high-quality fastening system, but also make a positive social contribution.
