How do I prepare the perfect tea?

When "I like tea" becomes "I LOVE tea", you reach the point where you not only enjoy the drink, but the entire ceremony of pouring tea.

For all of you, we would like to give you instructions on how to get even more out of your favorite tea.

1. Choosing the tea
The journey to a perfect tea begins with choosing the right type of tea. Depending on your mood and the occasion, there is a suitable tea:

  • For the morning: A strong black tea like Assam or Earl Grey will gently but firmly start your day.
  • For relaxation: If you want to relax, herbal teas such as chamomile, peppermint or lavender are your best companions.
  • For your health: Green tea is known for its antioxidant properties and supports your well-being.
  • For special occasions: Oolong or white tea are delicate and elegant – ideal for moments that you want to consciously enjoy.

2. The quality of the water
For a great tea, water quality plays a crucial role:

  • Fresh and clear: Use fresh, cold water – this brings out the aromas of your tea best.
  • Little lime: If your tap water contains a lot of lime, we recommend filtered or low-mineral water to preserve the pure taste.

3. Preheating the cup or teapot
Before you brew the tea, you should briefly rinse your teapot or tea cups and tea glasses with hot water. This keeps the tea warm for longer and ensures an even temperature so that the aromas can develop perfectly.

4. The right dosage
A rule of thumb for the perfect tea is: one teaspoon of tea leaves per cup. Of course, you can adjust the amount depending on the type of tea and your preferences.

5. The ideal infusion temperature
Different types of tea require different water temperatures to bring out their flavors properly. With a glass kettle you can set the temperature perfectly:

  • Green tea: 70-80°C
  • Black tea: 90-95°C
  • herbal tea: 95°C

6. The optimal brewing time
The brewing time is crucial for the taste of your tea:

  • Green tea: 2-3 minutes
  • Black tea: 3-5 minutes
Follow the recommended brewing time on the packaging to achieve the best taste experience.

7. The first infusion
Gently pour the hot water over the tea leaves and let the tea steep for the recommended time. The first infusion is particularly important as it develops the full range of flavors of the tea.

8. Enjoy the tea with all your senses
Now the most beautiful part of your tea ritual begins: pour the tea into your tea cups and tea glasses and take your time to consciously experience the colors, aroma and flavors. Pay attention to the subtle nuances in the scent and taste. Every sip is a moment of pleasure in itself.

9. Multiple infusions
High-quality teas often offer the option of brewing them several times. You can easily extend the brewing time and discover surprising new flavor nuances on the second or third infusion. Use a tea warmer & tea cosy to keep the tea warm.

10. Choosing the right cup
The right cup is more than just a container - it influences your tea experience. A transparent cup lets you admire the beautiful colors of the tea, while a larger cup lets you perceive the aroma more intensely.

And most importantly: enjoyment!
Tea is much more than a drink - it is a ritual, a moment of peace and relaxation. Take the time to consciously enjoy every sip. Combine your tea with small delicacies such as pastries, chocolate or fresh fruit and create your very own personal tea moment.
