Vegetable sticks with homemade dip
Ingredients:
- Various fresh vegetables, e.g. carrots, cucumbers, peppers, celery
- For the dip:
- 150 g Greek yogurt or natural yogurt with full fat content (min. 3.5%)
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh herbs (e.g. parsley, chives or dill)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Peel the vegetables (e.g. carrots), wash them thoroughly and cut them into long, thin sticks. Remove the seeds from the peppers if necessary.
- Prepare the dip by mixing the Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, and chopped fresh herbs in a bowl. Stir well until the ingredients are well combined.
- Season the dip with salt and pepper and put it in the fridge for a while to allow the flavors to develop.
- Arrange the vegetable sticks on a serving platter or plate. Serve the vegetable sticks with the homemade dip.
Tips:
- You can vary the vegetables as you wish. Other options include radishes, cherry tomatoes or broccoli.
- If you want the dip creamier, you can add some mayonnaise or sour cream.
- Experiment with different spices to tailor the dip to your taste. For example, you can add some paprika, cumin or chili to give it a spicy touch.
