Earthy and nutty with a hint of sweetness

Red beets/beetroot with goat cheese and honey
1 kg red beets/beetroot, 8 tbsp balsamic vinegar, 8 tbsp olive oil, 250 g goat cheese, 100 g roasted walnuts, 6 tbsp honey, 100 g bird's lettuce/lamb's lettuce

PREPARATION
Red beets/beetroot with goat cheese and honey
Preheat oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat. Peel the beets and prick them several times with a fork. Then season with Classic BBQ and wrap in aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for about an hour. Very large beets are best cut in half. Marinate the beets with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Mix in the goat's cheese, walnuts and the washed lamb's lettuce, drizzle everything with honey and spread over the beets.
Tip: The beets can also simply be boiled in water and then lightly browned in the oven using the grill function. Or you can put the beets from your garden briefly on the hot grill and then marinate them.
