Winter Punch Spiced Apple Punch
How about a warming winter punch? The perfect mix of winter spices and fruits makes it a highlight for any winter celebration!
Ingredients:
- 1 liter of apple juice
- 500 ml white wine (optional for the adult version)
- 500 ml mineral water (for some fizz)
- 200 ml orange juice
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 5-6 cloves
- 1-2 star anise
- 1 apple, cut into thin slices
- 1 orange, cut into thin slices
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (for a slight sweetness)
- Optional: A dash of rum or amaretto for extra warmth
Preparation:
- Heat the juice and spices : Heat the apple juice, white wine and orange juice in a large saucepan without boiling. Add the cinnamon sticks, cloves and star anise and let it steep for about 10-15 minutes to allow the aromas to fully develop.
- Add sweetness : Stir in honey or maple syrup to taste to give the punch a wintery sweetness.
- Add fruit : Add the apple and orange slices to the punch and let it steep for a few minutes.
- Allow to cool and serve : Allow the punch to cool slightly and then pour it into a large punch bowl. Just before serving, add the mineral water to create a slight fizzing effect.
Serve:
Decorate the glasses with cinnamon sticks or a touch of cinnamon sugar on the rim of the glass. For a particularly festive flair, you can also add a few pomegranate seeds, which will shine like little gems in the punch.

Tip:
For a non-alcoholic version, simply leave out the white wine and rum - the taste still remains wonderfully wintry!
